You’re welcome, Nicholas. This is an excellent tool that I can use myself. My critique partner told me not too long ago to avoid using the words very and extremely. I assume it’s still okay to use them in dialogue since people do use them when talking and my series is set in the south of the U.S. She said she tries not to use them in dialogue either.

Glad it helped! I think dialogue should be as realistic as possible. Nothing jars me more that reading in dialogues words never used in real life. Makes everyone sound like they’re in a Jane Austen novel 🙂
